Kurt Cobain wrote this. I first heard it on a bootleg mix tape in the early 90s; I'm guessing it was the "Blew" EP version. You can also hear it on the "Incesticide" compilation. And you should.
I don't really have the gear to get a good "grunge" sound anymore - I just cranked the Bigmuff until it was as awful sounding as it would go. :)
